This clarifies things slightly. But only slightly. If Mogul used his interview w/ Amy to get an up-to-date scan of her brain, and installed in in this Bot, then it must be (a) different and (b) precious. And Amy-It thinks she was transformed because she really isn’t ready to admit that she isn’t “real”.
If it is lying … this makes no sense. Amybots are expendable. That’s the whole point of robots.

I hadn’t thought of that. Another option is that this is a trap. An Amybot that believed it was Amy is the kind of hero-bait that can waste a lot of time and effort. For the same reason, though, it could be “lying”, in that a machine with no freewill can spread a falsehood if programmed to do so.

However, didn’t this Amybot only start acting independently after the attack that knocked out all the others? That suggests this model is different, as you say. Given the reality warping we’ve already seen, and my familiarity with Dr. Doom from Marvel Comics, the idea that Mogul actually could transform flesh into mechanical equivalents or actually cause Amy’s spirit/soul to be transferred to an Amy-bot still seem like real possibilities. 😉

If Mogul could transform, I would expect him to transform himself, assuming he has 100% faith in the process. Since he tried it on it on Amy first, I imagine he doesn’t.

As the woman he has been obsessed with, she is the person he knows best who isn’t him. This gives him the best chance to determine the level of success and maybe refine the process. If it works, hey — immortality thru disposable bodies. If not, well that’s why he wanted a new body. And why not grab the best he can?

But yes, hero bait is possible, too. We don’t know his endgame yet. Why bring the henches along? He must have a use for him, and the Amy?Bot could easily be used to set them up for some use.

And then she fell out the open airplane door and shouted, “You need to know…” and the rest was lost to the wind.

Thus the Henchmen were doomed and Mogul’s reign continued unimpeded.

The idea of using using her as a test does sound quite plausible, actually. As for bringing the henches along, didn’t he say they were needed there in order for him to control the reality warper properly? There likely isn’t any further use for them as far as he’s concerned, and he likely would’ve just killed them if they hadn’t caught him by surprise like that.

What he said (see https://www.henchmenonline.com/?p=1378) was that the Henchies needed to die before they screwed up his plans.
Throughout the arc he hasn’t really volunteered any information.
