Not every SuperVillain is going to be a great mastermind, although Punchline may not be quite as dumb as Tek Support portrays him. Tek Support is probably still pretty bitter about having gotten caught in Punchline’s trap, so when he tells the tale in flashback, it reflects his lingering anger.
