The last chapter was a lot of talk. This one won’t be like that….
p.s. – I’m trying to decide if I like using text sound effects. I grew up with the POW! and BAM! sounds in comics, but I’m not sure if it makes it silly or not. The punch in the last panel seemed to need something, so I added a sound effect, but I’m still on the fence as far as whether to use them or not.

So am I. Not sure either way.
You have to. It just wouldn’t have that comics feel without them.
yep, as long as it’s not the corny 60’s era “KERSMACK” I think the text sound effect is fine in most cases.
Sound effects only used when needed work best. Don’t feel obligated to use them. And I know, kind of late to make this comment, but I can still state my opinion 😛
‘Krak!’ is a good sound effect in this case. It can make readers wonder if a jawbone broke.
i don’t think you can get by doing a superhero-type comic totally without text sound effects but if used judiciously in an appropriate situation can be quite effective.
It’s sort of like how a good music backscore in a movie can fade into the background of the viewer’s attention yet still set the mood, good use of sound effects in a comic book can blend into the background so that readers hardly notice them but still emphasizes the action.
