Ah these are the guys Mogul hired to make that video for Brain. Mogul probably doesn’t much care if they bite it here; he only needed to prove he knew Brain’s connection, not pose an actual threat to this guy right now.

I sense a beatdown about to commence for two cheap goons who don’t know when to run…

Oh boy… those two hapless goons are in for a surprise aren’t they?

From the clues we got at the end of the Vixx saga it seems that Tinker used to be Clue Boy, the sidekick of Dark Detective. And if this old guy used to be Tinker’s mentor… that means he’s probably Dark Detective himself.

My bet is that he can still whoop ass. Especially when the adversaries are just a couple of punks. Now the question is… is this Mogul’s first mistake? Rousing the interest of the retired superhero?

I may need some popcorn for the following pages.

This will not likely go well for these lower level lackeys, me thinks

This has the ‘Batman Beyond’ origin story written all over it! Can’t wait for the beat down!

Except that DD went bad. So Tinker wouldn’t likely be worried about him, and I got the impression he was dead anyway.

DD went bad? When did we learn that? I never got the impression that DD went bad, it sounded more like something vague happened and both were assumed to be dead? The collectible seller explicitly said that only Clue Boy and Dark Detective knew what happened, and Tinker still called DD a hero even if he said that he was gone for good and should never come back.

Roid Rage 3-6: Chance saves ClueBoy from a crazy DD.
And Tinker probably doesn’t want to tell the rest of the story, so he lets people assume.

I had forgotten about that, though technically a hero can be crazy and out of control without going full villain… But then who else could this old man be?

I still think he’s the Dark Detective, but he went off the deep end in his pursuit of justice, like a Batman without a rule against killing. Then Chance did “something” that saved them, and probably put DD out of commission for a long time and by the time he recovered he’d revised his stance and decided not to go into heroics again out of fear that he would lose himself again…

And all that happened when they were pretty young. We know Tinker was Clue Boy, and we know Chance was there but I wonder in what capacity? Was Evers with them back then too?

I’m getting vibes of the first episode of the Batman Beyond cartoon…

I really like the hints we get about Tinker’s past.

    Gramercy,
