After I typed that line of NanoMan’s dialog, I had the Beatles’ Yesterday running through my head continuously. I probably date myself terribly with a Beatles reference….
I was really happy with the way the large second panel came out after I drew it, inked it in and colored it. I really hated to cover it up with all the dialog boxes and balloons, but the story wouldn’t advance much if I spent the entire panel with the two of them just ‘looking’ at each other in silence. I may post a link to the page artwork without any dialog just so you can see the whole thing in its original form.
The Captain is a little discouraged, but you can’t really blame him. On top of everything else, the Shield of Justice is probably several miles away in an unknown direction.
Meanwhile, in case you were wondering what happened to Spandex Girl/Roid Rage….
