You can tell I like big splash pages. It does slow down the story a bit, but they’re fun to draw, and I have to allow myself the occasional indulgence….

As I was finishing this page I started to think of the humorous possibilities for mothers of supervillains. Maybe there’s another spinoff idea for somewhere in the future….
The Neanderthal has been carrying around a big sword in a holder since the first time I introduced him into the story. There’s an old saying about telling stories that says that you shouldn’t show a gun if you don’t intend to have someone shoot it some time during the tale. I suppose the same thing is true for big swords as well, and so here we are…
