Whenever I have the Justice Squad gathered together, or any other group of characters all appearing in the same scene, I realize how complicated it can get trying to keep track of where everyone is. I hadn’t forgotten about NanoMan, but if you look back through the last few pages, you can see that I didn’t include him in the action just because I didn’t want to clutter the panels any more than necessary. Unfortunately, it’s a little jarring to have him ‘pop up’ in this page, but you’ll just have to believe that he’s been there just off-panel the whole time…..

Even though he’s the undisputed leader of the team, Captain Justice isn’t necessarily the brightest one of the bunch. Mega Mime in particular doesn’t trust this bunch of ‘hostages.’ Fortunately for the guys, he won’t say anything….

Spandex Girl’s change is a little abrupt between this page and the previous one, but the idea is that she’s figured out how to ‘surrender’ to the process so it doesn’t take a long time to make the switch. I’m hoping that it’s somewhat clear that she’s still growing between the first and second panel, but I found it challenging to draw that transformation effect without spending several panels on it. Trust me, she’s getting bigger and meaner….
