The picture in panel two is supposed to give you the sense that Chance is taking a LOT of pictures of the house in a very short amount of time. He’s also a clever enough guy to recognize hidden traps or disguised security measures that the average person would never notice. The guys aren’t SUPER, but they’re the best at what they do….

I’m hoping the scene change isn’t too abrupt between this page and the last one, but it should be clear that the Henchmen are no longer in the big city. The name of the suburb is Wheaton, which is the name of a real suburb outside of Chicago, and is also a not-so-subtle shout out to nerd fan favorite Wil Wheaton. I should also note that I’m happy with the way the suburbs turned out in panel three.
This is another page where I had a lot more dialog written out in the first draft, but then I put on my editing hat and decided that it was more effective to leave some things unsaid. I think it works better dramatically.
In case there’s any confusion though, Tinker is referring to Bruiser when he makes his side remark, and not his pal Evers. They’re getting along just fine, thanks.
