With great power comes great sacrifice.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely!
But that’s the thing isn’t it? He didn’t intend to make this sacrifice, and now he’s confronted head-on with his loss. What Nanoman does in the next few minutes will be the true measure of whether he’s a hero or just someone playing around until he gets confronted with what he’s lost.
Of course, I assume that’s the plan… you’ve surprised me before.
If Nanoman IS one of the good guys and Spandex Girl is one of the bad ones, isn’t his attack on her justified, especially since she did try to crush him to death? I’d like it if he settled on simply subduing her…but now he’s got ‘Roid Rage to deal with as well. I am curious to see how he resolves this particular problem.
For most parts this has been a 4 Color Superhero setting. Using lethal force even when confronted with lethal force is not expected of heroes in those settings. Besides, all SG and RR were doing was showing off and atempting to steal stuff. Not really something NM had to start a fight over.
But then again this setting had it’s clear shades of gray too. Only the next strip will tell.
Q: Why are his nanites green? Can he change their colour at will, also couldn’t they simply be programmed to resemble living tissue?
I figured this was still topical!
