Well, considering that he was never human to begin with, he wouldn’t necessarily have any kind of ingrained decency or learned morals. He just learned to blend into the background. Actually, if you are a Brick without Ranged Attacks and the enemy is a Ranged Attacker, getting in close is the only way you can win. And since he seemed to have improved control of the nanobots when using his arms and hands, binding those is also a very good idea.
Hugging him to death was the single most sensible Spandex Girl has done this entire day.
