This does not make a lot of sense. Her reaction suggest that Evers checks out as her father, boyfriend, or long-lost brother. None of which seem at all likely.
Alternate realities bring alternate lives and backstories with them. The main crew’s just as in the dark here as we are. It’s possible that an Evers was one of those things to her but it’ll be a page or more before we get told what’s going on here.
Except this is an alternate universe where things likely are very different from *our* reality. Considering Evers’ previous relationship with Lauren was hinted at being romantic, this version of Tech Girl could quite possibly be his daughter.
If that were so, how did she inherit her tech powers?
Actually, w/ the coffin, I am wondering if she accidentally killed him. Finding him alive would certainly be a relief in that case.
There’s also the possibility that he’s gone beyond boyfriend and that in this world she answers quite happily to the name of Mrs. Evers. Not unlikely if my surmise that in this universe the Henchmen are heroes is correct. ^_^
Except she doesn’t have tech powers, per se. Like her father in our reality, Tech Girl is a Science Hero, meaning she’s a technological genius. Genius isn’t always genetic or a superpower. Sometimes, someone is just born really smart.
Can’t prove I’m “… not a clone, robot copy, or some other strange copy of yourself?” but I actually have thought about the possibility because… nerd. XD Depending on how old of a copy I am, I’d probably be relieved at the stuff I wish I hadn’t done… and hadn’t done, because it was “the original”.

OK, at this point I hope the guys do the right thing and clue her in as to what is going on at the earliest possible moment! @_@

How is that her list doesn’t include inter-dimensional variant of Evers? She seemed to have a good list going. :/
Just because she’s smart doesn’t mean she thinks of everything.
