The title for this comic page post is actually a pun referring back to the old Walt Kelly comic strip Pogo, which is one of the all time great comics. I’m sad that a lot of younger readers may not be familiar with the comic, and if any of you readers out there haven’t had the pleasure of reading it, I encourage you to search around for it and check it out.
Here’s a link to the old comic from 1971.
I’m still recovering from my three days at the Amazing Hawaii Comic Con, which was a fun, but exhausting experience. I’ll be posting some cool stuff from the con in the near future as well.
Out of body experience or clones that were just spit out to replace the originals?
Actually, I’m familiar with the quote “we have met the enemy and it is us”. Unfortunately that’s because it’s my grabdfarther’s favorite comic quote. Sorry. On another note I have no clue what’s going on here.
Whoa! Plot twist?! Maybe they’ve been sent back in time to see their comatose selves! It could be any number of freaky scenarios! I adore this strip. It always continues to surprise.
One of the challenges of the webcomic format is that revealing one page at a time makes the dramatic pacing and setup of the story a lot more difficult. At this point I can only say that it all will come together in good time. The first five pages are just the first prologue to the story, and we’re going to make another scene jump in the next new page. Bear with me, and we’ll get there….
I go Pogo. And I’m in my 30’s.
My favorite quote is from Porky: “Don’t take life so serious, son. It ain’t nohow permanent.”
