After I went and made a comment on one of the previous posts about a lack of sports-based superheroes and villains, here I am with two of them slugging it out on the same page. I hope that doesn’t indicate that I’ve fallen into some kind of sports rut…. I actually did have an idea for a sumo-based character, but that’s not going to happen in the immediate future.
If you haven’t checked out the Kickstarter for the Henchmen for Hire: Dark Legacy graphic novel, you can click here or on the image in the upper right column and reserve your copy now! We’ve hit the target goal and the books are being printed and prepared as I type this, so I should be shipping out the Kickstarter rewards shortly after all the pledges are collected.
for a hitter, that dude sure has shitty aim!
Fury Fist may be fast on his feet but he’s an idiot if he keeps punching that guy in his helmet. Seriously? That thing is designed to protect its wearer from speeding baseballs! He needs to wrench off the thing and then deck him.
I don’t know, if he truly has super strength and hits too hard he might kill the guy. Hitting the helmet might be sufficient to eventually drop him without killing him.
Hey Homer (and yes, judging by his intelligence, that’s not a bad name…), use that thing you used on the way in, DUH! Sure, he shrugged it off sooner than the others, but that would still give you PLENTY of time to beat him down.
But I guess that would take intelligence, eh?
Isn’t this the start of a new Saga? So shouldn’t the sidebar say Current Storyline: The Rookie?
You’re correct. I’ve fallen behind in my ‘housekeeping’ for the site, but I should have that fixed shortly. Fortunately, you don’t have to backtrack very far to get to the start of “The Rookie, since it’s only four pages along….
In fairness, there might be a limit as to how often he can use it or the amount of time it takes for the thing to go off. Also in fairness, few people are calm and tactical thinkers when they’ve been attacked by surprise. @_@
I’d say that Abibliboop has a point. It’s possible for armor, especially helmets, to withstand damage perfectly only to have the guy within take damage because of the jarring he took as the armor withstood the damage. @_@
