Amazing Aloha Comic Con – Cancelled Due to Hurricane Lane

Amazing Aloha Comic Con – Cancelled and Re-Scheduled to February 22-24, 2019 at the Hawaii Convention Center
In case you missed the news, the Hawaiian islands had a close encounter with hurricane Lane during this past week. The big island of Hawaii on the Hilo side took on quite a bit of flood damage, but for the most part we were pretty lucky and we avoided what could have been a much larger disaster. At one point Lane was a category 5 hurricane with 150+ MPH winds, and would have done serious damage if it had reached the islands with that intensity, but we were fortunate and Lane shrank down and swerved away before making landfall.
However, Amazing Aloha Comic Con was cancelled because Lane was approaching the islands, and so was re-scheduled to early 2019 instead. Â There were a lot of disappointed folks when the cancellation was announced, but now we have February 22-24, 2019 to look forward to!
I’ll be in Artist’s Alley at the upcoming Amazing Comic Con Aloha on August 24 through 26. I’m bringing all my Henchmen for Hire graphic novels, as well as the new Where’s Kimo? picture search book. I’ll also be doing my usual “Draw You as a Superhero” commissions, so if you’re in the neighborhood, drop by and say “Hi!” and maybe I can draw you as your favorite hero.
I’ll be taking pre-convention commission requests up through August 23rd, and you can get them at Comic Con Honolulu prices, which means you can get a Single-Figure Black and White drawing for only $30, and Two Figures for $45. Order now before the prices go up! Â
